CLASS LIST

Here is the class list for all of the classes offered in the 2008 show. Descriptions are next to each class and section. On the day of the show, the classes will run in the order shown here. The cost is $20 per a person for unlimited showing.

A point system will be used for determining the Champion and Reserve Champion of the day. Each winner of each classes gets 5 points, second gets 3 points, and third gets 1 point. Championship classes get double the points. Divisons winners get 15 points, second in the divison gets 9 points, and third gets 4 points.

PERFORMANCE CLASSES

Performace classes are where just the Breyer horse is displayed (preferable with tack suitable for the event) and the judge will decide which horse best represents the class. In Performace, there are three classes:

1. English: Any form of English riding, including show jumping, dressage, hunters, pleasure, ect.

2. Western: Any form of Western riding, including pleasure, reining, cattle heraring, barrel racing, pole bending, ect.

3. Other: Other riding can include driving, bareback, trail riding, ect.

4. Champion Performace Class: Class for any horse that placed in the first three classes

HALTER CLASSES

Halter classes are where just the Breyer horse is displayed with or without a halter on, and the judge will decide which horse best represents the class. In Halter, there are eight classes:

1. Pony Halter: Any pony can be used. Must have a halter; lead rope not necessary. Ponies are any equine 14.2 and under.

2. Horse Halter: Any horse can be used. Must have a halter; lead rope not necessary. Horses are any equine over 14.2.

3. Quarter Horse Halter: Any Quarter Horse can be used. Must have a halter; lead rope not necessary.

4. Thoroughbred Halter: Any Thoroughbred can be used. Must have a halter; lead rope not necessary.

5. Gaited Halter: Any Gaited horse can be used. Must have a halter; lead rope not necessary. A gaited horse can be Tennessee Walking Horses, Morgans, National Show Horses, Paso Finos, Fox Trotters, American Saddlebreds, and others.

6. Paint Halter: Any Paint or Pinto horse can be used. Must have a halter; lead rope not necessary.

7. Appaloosa Halter: Any Appaloosa horse can be used. Must have a halter; lead rope not necessary.

8. Foal Halter: Any Foal can be used. Halter and lead rope not necessary.

9. Yearling Halter: Any Yearling can be used.

10. Draft Halter: Any Draft can be used. Must have a halter; lead rope not necessary. A draft horse can be a Friesian, Belgian, Haflinger, Clydesdale, Shire, or others.

11. Champion Performace Class: class for any horse that placed first or second in classes 1-10.

ACTIVE CLASSES

In Active Classes, the horse does not need any tack. The 'riders' will move the horse around jumping and trail classes, as well as pleasure classes. As in a normal show, the horse the behaves the best and best represents the class will win. In the Active Division, there will be seven classes:

1. Walk-Trot Class: where horse will be asked to walk and trot.

2. Walk-Trot-Canter: where a horse will be asked to walk, trot, and canter.

3. Command Class: where a horse will be asked to walk, trot, and canter instantly on command.

4. Horse Pleasure: where horses will be asked to walk, trot, and canter.

5. Pony Pleasure: where ponies will be asked to walk, trot, and canter.

6 Champion Flat: flat class for any class that placed in class 4 or 5.

7. Dressage Test: a brief dressage test will be handed out at the show to be memorized.

8. Open Trail Class: where a horse will have to get through an obstacle course.

9. Pony Jumpers: jumping class for ponies.

10. Puddle Jumpers: jumping classes for less experienced horses or ponies.

11. Open Jumpers:  jumping class for experienced horses only.

12. Champion Jumpers: jumping class for any horses or riders that placed in the other jumping classes.

SPECIAL CLASSES

Special classes are the miscellaneous classes that do not fit anywhere else. There are six in total:

1. Other Animals: class for any other animals including, but not limited to, cats, dogs, goats, and more. NO HORSES.

2. Unrealistic Models: class for any unrealistic HORSES such as unicorns, Pegasus, donkeys, mules, or models that are painted unrealistically.

3. Most Loved Breyer: class for your favorite model. Must be accompanied with a notecard explaining why the model is your most loved. Only one entry per a person.

4. Mirrored Breyer: class for Breyers who look like real horses. MUST include a picture of the real horse. The horse can be famous or be one of the SRF horses.

5. Special Run Breyers: class for any Breyers that were special runs or limited editions. MUST have original number and name of Breyer.

6. Costume Class: class for any Breyers in costumes. Be creative. Some suggestions are to use Barbie clothes or make some yourself!
